Lake Manitou is a 713 acre lake that has been a part
of Indiana's history since the early 1800s (Click
Here for a brief history). Recently, public access to the lake was
closed from October 1, 2006 - June 25, 2008 due to the presence of
hydrilla. Today, it is a prime location for boating, fishing, and
